Our Fund raising business is dedicated to providing corporations, entrepreneurs and investors, premium independent financial advice and transaction execution.
Our ecosystem of experienced and qualified professionals offer a full range of services and transaction expertise, including private placements of equity, capital raising services in public markets, mezzanine and convertible debt, mergers and acquisition, special situations investments and restructuring advisory services. Sumeet Mitra
Managing Partner
Sumeet is a management professional turned first-generation entrepreneur. Sumeet has rich experience in the field of Management Consulting & Private Equity and has worked with Multinational corporations in India and abroad, prior to enterprising. Before enterprising, Sumeet was engaged with Halcyon Group, a prominent Mumbai based $300 million Private Equity fund that invested in companies in special situations and distress and provided management intervention to facilitate turning up their performance.
In his entrepreneurial stint, Sumeet has co-founded several ventures in the field of Internet Technology & Digital Media in India. In a recent role, Sumeet co-founded and built one of India’s largest digital performance advertising network, ClickZoot.com which was later acquired by the Fork Media Group, one of India’s largest digital native advertising companies.
At Jupiter Capital, Sumeet focusses on building relationships with Corporates, Investors, Financial Institutions and Bankers globally, bringing in the latest learnings in the field of global finance and emerging ideas in the field of transaction structuring. He leads the Private Equity and Venture Capital suite of service offerings.
Sumeet also serves as Managing Director of Mediapolis Ventures, a private Media & Technology Incubation entity which operates as well as invests in emerging Media & Technology start ups in India.
Sumeet holds a dual Bachelors degree in Commerce and Law as well a Masters of Business Administration in Finance.
Sharmishtha Mitra
Managing Partner
Sharmishtha is a veteran in the Indian Corporate treasury and finance space and has over US$1.5 Billion of debt fund raising experience to her credit.
Having worked with large organisations such Aditya Birla Retail, Capital First NBFC (now IDFC First bank) and the Bombay Dyeing group in their Corporate Finance & Treasury domain, Sharmishtha possesses in-depth knowledge of both - Corporate finance functions, systems & challenges as well as Banking systems & controls, regulations and its myriad opportunities. This practical hands-on exposure enables her to structure deals favourably and pitch to Financial institutions for a positive outcome.
With over a decade’s experience in debt syndication, Sharmishtha is well entrenched into the Indian Banking and Financial Institutions space and has strong outreach and relationships with key industry professionals in the BFSI segment. At Jupiter Capital, Sharmishtha focusses on business development, fund raising, transaction structuring and debt syndication & execution.
Sharmishtha holds a Masters degree in Commerce (Mumbai university) as well as a Masters degree in Financial Management (Welingkars Institute).
